HOTO's sits inside OD Beach & Golf Resort, so if you are staying here you walk down, not drive. And you are standing in the block that made the Carolina shag famous, a short walk from everything Ocean Drive is known for.
- Staying at OD Beach & Golf Resort? The deck is downstairs. Come as you are.
- Main Street, Ocean Drive. The shag clubs, the pavilion and the arcade are all within a few minutes on foot.
- Beach access at the door. No street to cross between your table and the sand.
- Golf groups and families. Big tables on the deck, and the picnic tables out front hold a crowd.

Where is Harold's on the Ocean?
HOTO's is at 100 Main Street in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, inside OD Beach & Golf Resort in the heart of Ocean Drive. The deck sits directly on the oceanfront and the stage faces Main Street.
Is there live music every night?
In season, yes. Acoustic sets run Monday through Thursday, full bands play Friday and Saturday, and there is a sunset session on the deck on Sunday. 94.9 The Surf also broadcasts live from the studio window on site. Check the events calendar for who is playing.
When is happy hour?
Happy hour runs from 4:00 to 6:00 PM every day in season, with food and drink specials at the tiki bar, on the deck, and out front.
Can I come straight off the beach?
Yes. Swimsuits and cover ups are normal here, especially at lunch and happy hour. There is beach access at the door, so you do not have to cross a street to get to a table.
Do you take reservations?
Yes, reservations are accepted and recommended for dinner on summer weekends and on nights with a headline act. Walk-ins are always welcome at the tiki bar and at the picnic tables out front.
Is HOTO's open year round?
No. HOTO's is seasonal. The 2025 season has ended and we reopen in Spring 2026. Join the list for the opening weekend date.
Is it family friendly?
Yes. Lunch and early dinner are family hours, with casual seating inside, on the deck and at the picnic tables. The front stage area gets busier and louder later in the evening.
Do you have parking?
There is resort parking on site plus Main Street public parking within a block. In peak summer weeks, arriving before 5:00 PM makes parking considerably easier.
